Robert has been involved in community banking and real estate law for over forty years.

He has served as Chairman and CEO of the Bank since 1993. He previously served as President and CEO of the East Weymouth Savings Bank from 1981 to 1988.  Mr. Gaughen has substantial experience in both commercial and residential real estate lending. He has served as a Director of the Savings Bank Association of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Bankers Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He holds a BA from Georgetown University and a JD from Suffolk University Law School.

Patrick joined HIFS in 2012.

He is responsible for identifying and implementing long-term growth and profitability initiatives for the Bank. Patrick also serves on the Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee. Prior to joining HIFS, Patrick was a Foreign Service Officer (FSO) with the Department of State, where he specialized in Near Eastern Affairs and served overseas. He holds a BA in History and Political Science from Yale University, an MA in Security Studies from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown, and an MA in Political Science from Duke University.

Cristian joined HIFS in 2016.

As the Chief Financial Officer, Cristian plans, implements, and manages all the finance activities of the Bank including asset-liability management, accounting, budgeting, and regulatory reporting. Prior to joining Hingham, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of C1 Financial (and its subsidiary C1 Bank) and held finance roles in private and public companies in Brazil and Chile. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Cristian is a CFA charterholder – which is considered the pinnacle of professional development in investment management and is highly respected in the finance industry.

Eileen joined HIFS in 2008.

She is responsible for the financial management of the Bank, including asset-liability management, accounting, budgeting, and regulatory reporting. She previously served as Assistant Vice President and Controller at the Bank. Prior to joining Hingham, she was the Finance/Accounting Manager for Arbella Insurance Group. Eileen is a Certified Public Accountant. She holds a BA in Management from Gettysburg College, as well as an MA in Accounting and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Holly joined HIFS in 2002.

She serves as Chief of Staff for the Bank and is responsible for partnering with senior leadership to drive effective decision-making, project management, and execution of strategic initiatives across the Bank.

Prior to this role, Holly was responsible for leading the Bank’s Specialized Deposit Group, focusing on government, institutional, non profit and property management clients. She has nearly 20 years of banking experience specializing in business and institutional banking. Holly holds a Liberal Arts degree from Bridgewater State University and a MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Andrew joined HIFS in 2017.

As Vice President of Retail Banking, Andrew is responsible for the Bank’s retail branch network. Andrew has over 15 years of retail banking experience covering a variety of markets and financial institutions. He was most recently Vice President – Area Manager for the Boston-Seaport district of Blue Hills Bank. He holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Leigh joined HIFS in 1998.

She is responsible for coordinating and managing the Bank’s electronic banking services and the operational functions of the Bank’s Digital Banking Group. She has more than 18 years of banking experience in retail and electronic banking. Jeremy joined HIFS in 2022

Jeremy is responsible for overseeing all compliance and CRA functions for the Bank. Prior to Hingham, Jeremy held compliance roles at Exchange Bank in Sonoma, California and Alta Bank in Utah. Jeremy has subject matter expertise in BSA/AML and risk management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Dan joined HIFS in 2021

As Chief Information Officer and CISO, Dan is responsible for the oversight and management of the Bank’s technology team, infrastructure, vendors and data security. He is also responsible for the development, enhancement, and implementation of technology products for all areas of the bank.  Prior to joining Hingham, Dan was employed at Northeast Bank where he was most recently Senior Vice President and Director of Information Technology. During his time at Northeast, Dan was responsible for all areas of technology and technology vendors including process improvements through automation. Prior to Northeast, Dan held roles at Santander Bank. ISBAN and Grant Thornton. He holds a BS in Finance, Accounting and Marketing from Boston College.

Ed joined HIFS in 2022.

Ed leads the Bank’s Specialized Deposit Group, focusing on business development and strengthening relationships with institutional, government, non-profit, professional service, commercial real estate developer, and property management clients.

Ed brings a wealth of experience from his prior roles as SVP/Commercial Strategy at People’s United Bank and SVP/Director of Business and Municipal Banking at Belmont Savings Bank. In these positions, he successfully led teams to grow their business segments through strategic development initiatives, building strong teams, and implementing process improvements. Ed holds a BSBA from Western New England University.

Kristin joined HIFS in 2019.

She is responsible for developing and overseeing the Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act Compliance programs.  Kristen has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Hingham, Ms. Casey served as Associate Counsel and BSA/AML Officer at Investors Bank and Trust Company and most recently was Vice President and Director of Compliance at State Street.  She holds a JD from Suffolk University Law School and a BA from Boston College.

Sebi joined HIFS in 2022.

Sebi is responsible for overseeing the Bank’s Loan Servicing Group and Residential Processing Group which handles onboarding, escrow (tax and insurance), life of loan servicing and collections. Sebi brings over 25 years of experience in loan servicing for commercial and residential real estate lending. She was most recently employed at Main Street Bank as a Senior Vice President of Loan Operations. Sebi holds a certificate from the New England School of Financial Studies – Babson College.

Shawn joined HIFS in 1996.

He is responsible for developing new commercial and investment property loans and managing the Commercial Lending Group. Mr. Sullivan began his banking career with US Trust in 1985. He has also served as a Vice President within Fleet Bank’s Commercial Real Estate division and as a Mortgage Officer with Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency. Mr. Sullivan holds a BS in Business Management from Providence College.

Jeff is responsible for developing and managing relationships with commercial real estate investors in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Prior to joining Hingham in 2021, Jeff spent twelve years at US Bank as a Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager focusing on originating and managing a large and diverse portfolio of construction and commercial real estate loans. Prior to US Bank, Jeff held lending roles at Capmark Finance, LaSalle Bank and Riggs Bank. Jeff holds a BA in Business from Bradley University and an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from American University.

Sara joined HIFS in 2013.

Sara is the Bank’s principal representative on Nantucket and is responsible for the management of the branch, as well as the origination of residential and commercial loans on the Island.

Prior to joining the Bank, Sara had worked at Bank of America serving as a Vice President in both the residential and commercial lending areas. Sara holds a BA in Economics from Duke University.

Paul joined HIFS in 2013.

Paul is responsible for managing relationships with commercial real estate investors in Massachusetts and the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Prior to joining Hingham, he was a Senior Vice President at Goedecke and Company, a leading Boston-based commercial real estate finance firm. Prior to Goedecke, Paul was responsible for acquisitions and asset management for a number of real estate private equity funds. Paul has a BS in Physics from Fairfield University.

Alex joined HIFS in 2009.

Alex is responsible for the production of commercial real estate loans in Eastern Massachusetts.

After five years with AEW Capital Management in Boston from 1995-2000, he began his banking career in Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Merchant Banking group. Prior to joining Hingham in October 2009, he served as a loan officer for five years in HSBC Bank’s Commercial Real Estate group. Mr. Boyd holds a BA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MA in English Literature from UMASS-Boston and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business (Babson College).

Pat joined HIFS in 2017.

He is responsible for developing new commercial and investment property loans within Boston and the surrounding communities. Pat began his banking career with South Shore Savings Bank in 2003, overseeing two of the bank’s branches. Prior to joining HIFS, Pat served as a Portfolio Manager with Rockland Trust where he managed a sizable commercial loan portfolio consisting largely of commercial real estate and construction loans. Pat holds a BS in Accounting and Finance from Bridgewater State University and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Janice joined HIFS in 1999.

She is responsible for the administration of the Bank’s construction lending portfolio and the operational functions of the Bank’s Commercial Lending Group. Prior to joining HIFS, Janice was a commercial loan officer and portfolio manager with Mass Business Development Corporation in Boston. She began her finance career with Unisys Finance in Brisbane, CA. Janice holds a Liberal Arts degree from West Valley College and a Credit Analysis Certification from New England College of Business.

Bill is currently responsible for construction loan inspections. He previously served as Vice President Administration until April 2014, when he semi-retired. He began his banking career with The Boston Five Cent Savings Bank in 1974, serving as Accounting Officer. He subsequently joined East Weymouth Savings Bank in 1985 in the Accounting and Property Management functions. Mr. Donovan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration.

Jinnie is responsible for providing support to the branch network including training and development and providing staff coverage when needed. Prior to stepping into this role, Jinnie served as the Branch Manager for the Bank’s Hull location. She started her banking career at Lincoln Trust Company in Hingham. Jinnie is an involved member of the community, serving as Vice President of the Hull-Nantasket Chamber of Commerce and advisory board member for the Friends of Paragon Carousel.
